Alpenglow in the Mission Range, and Ninepipes Pond, 14x11, Fine Art Print

The view of Montana's Mission Range from the west is striking at any hour, but as alpenglow gathers, the mountains become sublime. New colors erupt, transforming the vanilla whites of mountain peaks and clouds to shades of strawberry and gold. In the moment of the photograph, the still waters of the pond mirror the scene above. Pictures of such scenes are often made very large. For this picture, I prefer a relatively small size that I think invites deeper, more private contemplation.
